About Us
At Risky Publishing, we believe in pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo in educational literature. Established in 2024, our mission is to inspire students, educators, and institutions by diversifying the narratives available in both fiction and non-fiction educational texts. We focus on publishing impactful stories and developing resources that empower educators and students to think critically and creatively.
Our services extend beyond publishing. We provide comprehensive educational materials, CPD sessions delivered by authors, special access to early-edition books, and unique opportunities for students to engage with authors directly through speeches and book signings. Our goal is to build a more inclusive and thought-provoking educational experience for all.

Meet the Team
Bhishma Asare
CO FOUNDER
Bhishma Asare is the co-founder of Risky Publishing. His experiences of reading as a child were far from positive, as he found literature to be very disengaging. Surprisingly, his love of reading started around the age of 17, where he read his first chapter book, 'Street Boys', by Tim Pritchard, which captivated his imagination as the story was extremely relatable.

Bhishma went on to study Journalism, news media and creative writing at university. He particularly enjoyed the creative writing element as he was able to be imaginative and delve into how authors think and construct their writing. He later went onto study and become a teacher secondary english, and further attained his masters in English education.
Tariq Olaifa
CO FOUNDER
As the co-founder of Risky Publishing, Tariq is passionate about bringing unique and diverse stories to life. Surprisingly growing up reading wasn’t one of his desires; however, after discovering the captivating stories of Carl Weber he developed a true passion for books. This opened a new world which eventually led to co-founding an independent publishing company dedicated to bringing diverse voices to readers everywhere.
Driven by the desire to offer a platform for authentic, impactful stories that challenge the narrative Tariq is committed to supporting authors and their creative journeys. Through Risky Publishing, Tariq seeks to celebrate the power of literature in all its forms, ensuring that every story has the chance to be heard.
